BBQing for the 4th. First time smoking steak and brisket. Both turned out great. Now I have too much food at home...

You need to hire someone to care for your yard.

Not really my yard. It's a shared "yard" on the exterior of my apartment building. Landlord doesn't do jack chit about it though unfortunately.

I've been throwing around some grass seeds, gonna buy some 40lb bags of top soil and try to make it look somewhat better around my patio.

If there are birds, throwing seeds won't work well. Get the Hydro Mousse.

lol is that legit? I'm willing to try it. The soil is pretty shit though because it has never been maintained. Poor drainage and is currently undergoing vicious cycles of intense heat / intense rain storms flooding it (bc of poor drainage).

Some grass seed I threw down last fall grew pretty well so I got random patches of Kentucky Blue Grass.

Hydroseeding works. When there is work on mountainsides, you see that weird blue green covering? That is the hydroseeding. To make it work better, you should soften up the ground. Unfortunately, if you are successful, the grass is gonna grow, and the landlord probably won't cut it. Then you get a couple of goats.

There's 1 or 2 rabbits that roam around. Doesn't seem like they're eating the grass though.

It'll die off come winter, no big deal anyways.

Just get Roundup from Costco. I spray in the morning and by the afternoon, they are wilting. I have no idea what my yardman uses, but his stuff doesn't work.

The spray on weed killer works temporarily, at least in my experience. I got those pesky hitchhiker weeds in my yard but they keep coming back. Spent a couple hours digging up the roots by hand so hopefully they are gone forever.

My grandma used to have me by diesel by the gallon. Never asked her why she wanted it, then I asked her. She said it was to kill weeds. lol

LOL before you pour your concrete foundation, you soak the area with diesel for termite treatment. You'll never get ground termites...but don't let anyone see you do it!!!! LOL

The EPA has weakened poisons so much that now you spray a bug with Raid and it just looks at you all pissed off and struts off!!!
